What You're Getting
Rotatrix comes as assembled units — a Kensington SlimBlade Pro with Rotatrix hardware installed, assembled and tested before shipping (the complete device) — or as self-install kits: the Rotatrix hardware and components for you to install into a SlimBlade Pro you supply. The kit does not include the trackball.
Either way, your purchase includes a perpetual license to the Rotatrix host application. The license is tied to your Rotatrix device — not to a specific computer — so the software works on any PC you plug it into. Full terms are in the End User License Agreement available at rotatrix.com/eula.
Payment
Payment is handled through Shopify Payments via credit or debit card. You have standard card-level buyer protections.
Shipping
Processing time. Assembled units are built to order; self-install kits ship from stock or are made to order. Lead time is displayed at checkout and will be confirmed after order. You'll receive tracking information once your order ships.
Domestic shipping (US). Orders ship via USPS or UPS. Standard delivery is typically 3–7 business days after shipment.
International shipping. International orders ship via DHL or FedEx. Delivery times vary significantly by destination, typically 1–4 weeks. International customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or fees imposed by the destination country, except where checkout includes taxes and duties (for orders placed on or after April 27, 2026).
Shipping damage. If your package arrives damaged or the device is damaged in transit, contact me within 7 days of delivery with photos of the damage. I'll arrange a replacement.
Lost packages. If tracking shows delivered but you haven't received the package, contact me within 7 days. I'll work with the carrier to investigate and arrange a replacement if the package is confirmed lost.
Address accuracy. Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. Orders shipped to incorrect addresses provided by the customer are not eligible for free re-shipment.
Software
The Rotatrix host application receives ongoing maintenance and updates as they become available, though Icebound Flame LLC does not warrant any specific update schedule, feature set, or compatibility timeline. Integrations that have been released to you are maintained on a best-effort basis. Your license includes new Rotatrix integrations as they're released under the current launch model; the integration distribution model may change in the future, with notice, but any change will not affect access to integrations you've already received.
If a third-party application changes its plugin API or discontinues support for the integration mechanisms Rotatrix uses, the corresponding integration may stop working. Such cases are outside Icebound Flame's control.
Warranty
Assembled units are warranted for one year from the date of delivery against hardware defects, covering the SlimBlade Pro and all Rotatrix modifications. This includes issues like sensor failure, connection problems, or other hardware malfunctions. It does not cover physical damage from misuse, drops, or liquid exposure.
Self-install kits are warranted for one year against defects in the components I ship. Because you supply the trackball and perform the installation yourself, the warranty does not cover your SlimBlade Pro or problems caused by installation. The Rotatrix installation is reversible — fully for Rotatrix Wired, and for Rotatrix Hybrid with only minor, inconsequential internal trimming that is permanent — so a unit that isn't working can be returned to stock.
Modification voids the original Kensington warranty, so Rotatrix's warranty is your sole hardware coverage for the modification.
Returns & Refunds
Assembled units are built to order and individually tested, so change-of-mind returns are not accepted as a general matter. If you run into a compatibility issue with your software or hardware setup that we can't resolve together after good-faith troubleshooting, contact me — I'll work with you on a refund or replacement.
Self-install kits. If a kit's components are defective, contact me for replacement parts or a refund. Because the installation is reversible, you can return your trackball to stock if the kit isn't right for you; contact me about refunding components that are unused or in returnable condition.
Cancellations before shipment. If you cancel your order before it ships, you'll receive a full refund.
Defective or damaged units. If your device or kit arrives non-functional, is damaged in transit, or develops a hardware defect within the warranty period, contact me and I'll replace or refund it. See "Warranty" for details.
Undeliverable packages. If a package is returned to me as undeliverable, I'll contact you to arrange re-shipment (at your cost) or refund the order less original shipping cost.
EU and UK customers. Customers in the European Union have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Consumer Rights Directive. UK customers have similar rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. To exercise this right, contact me within 14 days of receiving the device or kit. It must be returned in unused or only minimally-handled condition; you are responsible for return shipping costs. For self-install kits, components that have already been installed or altered may not meet this condition — contact me and I'll work with you. Refunds will be issued within 14 days of receiving the returned item, less any reduction in value due to handling beyond what was necessary to inspect it.
Limitation of Liability
Rotatrix devices are provided as-is. Icebound Flame LLC's liability is limited to the purchase price of the device. Liability arising from software use is governed by the End User License Agreement.
