Rotatrix is operated by Icebound Flame LLC. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit rotatrix.com, purchase or use Rotatrix products, or use Rotatrix software and related services.

Information you provide

When you sign up for updates, contact us, place an order, submit a review, request a restock notification, or otherwise communicate with us, we may collect information you provide, such as your name, email address, shipping or billing information, and the contents of your message.

Subscriber records and email delivery are handled by EmailOctopus.

Purchases and ecommerce

Our online store is operated using Shopify. Shopify and service providers connected to our store may process information necessary to provide ecommerce services, such as contact information, billing and shipping information, order details, and transaction information.

Payment information is processed by Shopify or our payment providers. We do not directly store your full payment card information.

We also use third-party Shopify applications to provide features such as preorders, restock notifications, product reviews, customer communications, and other store functionality. These providers may receive customer and order information necessary to provide those services.

We currently use STOQ for preorder and restock functionality and Judge.me for product reviews and review requests.

Rotatrix software

The Rotatrix desktop application can communicate with Rotatrix services for software update checks and, if enabled, product analytics.

Software update checks

If automatic update checking is enabled, the Rotatrix application may transmit information needed to determine whether an update is available, including:

application and firmware version information;
operating-system or platform information relevant to compatibility; and
your Rotatrix device serial number.

You can disable automatic update checking in Rotatrix Settings.

Product analytics

Rotatrix uses PostHog to help us understand how the Rotatrix application and its controls are used and to improve the product.

If product analytics are enabled, we may collect information including:

application, firmware, and operating-system information, along with a randomly generated installation identifier;
configuration characteristics and the names of profiles, axis maps, and other resources viewed in Rotatrix;
which bindings and controls are used;
which supported applications or integrations are active;
pages visited and actions such as importing, sharing, saving, restoring backups, installing integrations, and updating the application;
usage durations and device or integration connection information;
error reports, including error messages and technical stack traces; and
your Rotatrix device serial number.

We use this information to understand feature usage, improve mappings and integrations, identify compatibility or reliability issues, guide product development, and help protect Rotatrix software and licensing.

Rotatrix does not collect the contents of your work. Product analytics do not record your interface, keystrokes, window titles, document or model contents, screenshots, or the content of applications you use with Rotatrix. Resource names you choose in Rotatrix may be included. Error reports are filtered to remove credentials and local file paths.

You can turn off "Share usage statistics and error reports" at any time in Rotatrix Settings.

PostHog processes product analytics information on our behalf.

Website and hosting information

The Rotatrix website and related services use Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process standard technical information such as IP addresses and request information as part of providing hosting, security, and network services.

Website analytics and advertising

We use analytics and advertising services, including Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, PostHog, Cloudflare Web Analytics, Google Ads, and Meta, to understand how visitors use our website and to measure the effectiveness of our marketing.

These services may process information such as page views, interactions with our website, device and browser information, IP addresses, cookies or similar identifiers, and information about whether visits result in purchases or other actions.

Microsoft Clarity and PostHog may provide session replay or similar tools that help us understand how visitors interact with the website. Sensitive form inputs are masked from session recordings.

These providers may process information according to their own privacy policies.

How we use information

We use information we collect to:

provide, operate, maintain, and improve Rotatrix products and software;
process and fulfill orders;
provide customer support;
provide preorders, restock notifications, reviews, and related store features;
provide and check for software updates;
understand how Rotatrix features, controls, and integrations are used;
diagnose technical and compatibility problems;
protect Rotatrix software, licensing, customers, and our business against fraud or abuse;
send product updates and other communications you have requested;
understand how visitors use our website; and
measure the effectiveness of our marketing.

Sharing of information

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

We may provide information to service providers that process it on our behalf in order to operate Rotatrix, including providers of ecommerce, payments, order fulfillment, hosting, analytics, email delivery, product reviews, preorder and restock services, customer support, and advertising measurement.

These providers process information according to their respective agreements, policies, and applicable law.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect our rights or the rights of others, investigate fraud or abuse, or protect the security of Rotatrix products and services.

Your choices

You can:

disable product analytics in Rotatrix Settings;
disable automatic software update checking in Rotatrix Settings;
unsubscribe from marketing or product-update emails using the link in those messages;
block or limit website cookies and tracking using your browser or other privacy tools; and
request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you by contacting us at privacy@rotatrix.com.

Certain information may need to be retained where reasonably necessary for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or other legitimate business purposes.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Third-party services and applications

Rotatrix uses and integrates with software and services provided by third parties. This Privacy Policy covers information collected by Rotatrix and Icebound Flame LLC. Third-party providers may also process information under their own applicable privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version here and update the effective date above.
